E Collar Workshop HULL (North)
- 90 British pounds£90
- DR Working Dogs, 67 Gillet Street, HU3 4JF
Introduction to the safe use of e collars. E collar training gives you and your dog ultimate freedom to be off lead safely without worrying that your dog may not respond to you. How we train the use of e collars Working on the basis of negative reinforcement, the e collar stimulation is layered over the top of your existing commands, it isn't used to teach a new behaviour, simply a new dimension to your existing behaviours. The removal of the stimulation, along with positive reinforcement, signals to the dog that they have performed correctly. This can be built into your recall cue and used to take your obedience to the next level. What you need to be able to take part in this training - basic obedience commands understood by your dog in more than one environment - a marker system - motivation from the dog to work with you - commitment! E collar training does not replace the need to complete basic training, it enhances your training to provide ultimate clarity and freedom for your dog. This workshop will cover the following - introduction to the Mini Educator ET300 remote collar - theory behind conditioning of the e collar using negative reinforcement - hands on training with your dog (working spot only) - introduction to recall training with the e collar Severely reactive or aggressive dogs are not suitable to join this workshop due to the proximity of working around others. Your dog must be under control at all times, this includes no lunging or on lead greetings of any kind. Please get in contact prior to booking if you are unsure whether this workshop is suitable for you. This booking is for a working spot.
